FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please respond by September 1 so that we have ample time to make arrangements with our caterer.

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please do! Our caterer will do whatever they can to accommodate our vegan or gluten-free guests, or guests with food allergies -- just add this information when you complete your RSVP.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are! And you can find our registry on this very site! It includes our registries at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond, which you can also find in those stores/on their websites.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Our venue partners with the Courtyard Marriott in University Circle. They've set aside (discounted) rooms for our guests and will provide shuttle service on our big day! Please see the "Travel" page on this site for information on this and other local hotels.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no strict dress code, but we would recommend "cocktail attire." I know that can mean a lot of things to a lot of people -- we mean something dressy enough for a nice date night, but not exceedingly formal. For the fellas: you won't feel over-dressed in a suit and tie, but feel free to ditch the tie and/or jacket if you'll be more comfortable that way. For the ladies: I would recommend a cocktail dress or dressy skirt (or slacks, if that's more your style) -- an evening gown would definitely be overkill! We'll be inside all evening (or outside on a paved courtyard patio, weather permitting), so weather probably won't need to play a huge role in your attire selection. Hope that helps!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We'd like to start promptly at 5:00, so please plan to show up a bit beforehand. Doors will open at 4:30. For those staying at the hotel, I'll post a shuttle schedule closer to the big day.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The venue has a parking lot that will be reserved for our guests. The lot can be accessed from E 105th St. (on the east side of the street), near the intersection with Park Lane. There will be a sign in the lot entrance.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle running to/from the Courtyard Marriott in University Circle (but not from the other hotels). A schedule will be available closer to the big day (and at the front desk of the hotel).
