Almost 7 years ago Byron and I met through a mutual friend. Little did I know that one September evening I would be meeting the love of my life. We met in September 2012, as time passed on we got to know each other better and quickly fell in love. Byron met Taylor by pure accident, he was taking an animal science class and his professor paired him up in Taylor’s group for a project only to turn around and tell Byron “you’re in the wrong group, sorry.” Byron and Taylor had lost contact until one evening outside of Eskimo Joes where they reconnected and became friends. I knew Taylor because we lived on the same dorm floor and we were great friends. Taylor had posted a picture of him and I on his Facebook, and Byron came across that photo and told Taylor he “had to meet me”. Well one night they planned for us to meet in our favorite little spot to go dancing at, (those of you who know Stillwater well will understand why we loved this place) Outlaws. Byron and I met, and the next day he (of course) added me on Facebook. For many the number 13 is unlucky, but for me it’s the luckiest number because on September 13 I met Byron, then on April 13,2013 we “officially” started dating. Six years later, on December 27, 2018, in the coziness of his backyard patio with a fire going he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I answered the easiest question, until I’m asked if I take this man to be my husband, that day and we couldn’t be more excited to start our future together and share our journey!
