Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

There is no ceremony! The festivities will kick off with Cocktail Hour at 6 PM. We are encouraging guests to meet at the Golden Bar in Lobby of the main building at 5:30, so they can be escorted over to the cocktail hour destination at Deck Dunas by the wedding coordinator.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The recommended attire is Semi-Formal.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please indicate any dietary preferences when RSVP'ing, or email henneype@gmail.com.

Question

Is there anything I should prepare for when traveling to Mexico?

Answer

Bring your passport! You will need this to get in and out of Mexico. Power outlets in Mexico are the same as in the US, so no need to bring any converters! The currency in Mexico is Pesos. If you would like to conduct transactions using Pesos, we strongly recommend obtaining them in the US at your local currency exchange entity. In our experience, it is very challenging, expensive, or even impossible to exchange currency in Cancún. That said, we've successfully used debit/credit cards and even US dollars at the resort with assurances from staff that it is welcome.

Question

What should I know about staying at the Finest Playa Mujeres?

Answer

While the resort is all-inclusive, we recommend bringing small bills with you to tip the incredible staff. Their excellent bartenders, waiters, spa staff, and concierges really do go above and beyond, so a cash tip is always a nice gesture! US dollars are both accepted and preferred. The resort shop sells anything and everything you may need, from sunscreen to medication, to beach coverups and more! There is a 24-hour Urgent Care facility on site. The central pool is certainly the most popular. It boasts swim-up bars, daily shows, and both family friendly and adults-only sides. If you prefer a more serene experience, the linear pool by building 3 is often empty, calm, and quiet. If you would like to enjoy a cigar at the resort, unfortunately they no longer have a cigar lounge. But guests are allowed to bring in duty-free cigars from the airport and smoke them in designated areas.

Question

How do I get to Finest Playa Mujeres resort from the Cancún International Airport?

Answer

If you are staying 3 nights or more at Finest, then you will receive complimentary transportation from Seasons Tours! Seasons is very professional, easy to work with, and responsive. A few items to note: -Even though this service is complimentary, you need to book your reservation with Seasons at least one week prior to arrival. Finest Playa Mujeres should include contact information for Seasons in your hotel confirmation. -The commute from the airport to the resort is approximately 45-minutes long. -Yes, there is air-conditioning. -Seasons offers complimentary water and beer in the car! For guests not staying 3 or more nights at Finest, you can still book transportation with Seasons, which is around $200 round-trip. Alternatively, you can take an Uber or Taxi, but it may end up being more expensive. Rental cars are also an option for folks wanting to explore Cancún and get out of the resort during their stay!

Question

What can you tell me about the guest rooms at Finest Playa Mujeres?

Answer

There isn't a bad hotel room at Finest Playa Mujeres! Each room has a beautiful, unique view and special amenities, such as patio jacuzzis! There is a minibar in the room with complimentary snacks and beverages, including full liquor bottles for those who prefer a cocktail in their room. Rooms are equipped with steamers that work very well. Additionally, the resort offers laundry service including pressing clothes. The bathrooms do not have shower doors or curtains, so families staying together should be aware.

Question

Any dining tips at Finest Playa Mujeres?

Answer

With over 20 dining and bar options at Finest, it can be hard to choose where to enjoy your next meal! We are sharing some of the highlights from our trip to the resort: If you enjoy a strong, delicious coffee, The Sweet Shop is for you. The Brass Steakhouse is excellent. For meat-eaters, consider ordering your steak a level up as they tend to cook conservatively. For a seaside breakfast, Duke's is your best option. Seaside lunches are best enjoyed at Deck Dunas! If sweets are your jam, the Market Kitchen features an epic dessert bar. Le Petit Plaisir arguably offers the best air-conditioned ocean views for diners. Guest staying in the Excellence Club must dine at Dommo. If any restaurant asks if you would like pepper, ALWAYS say yes...
