Question

Transportation?

Answer

Uber and lyft can be unreliable in Grass Valley. PLEASE try to arrange to have a safe entrance and exit from the venue. We are not able to leave any cars overnight - so if you drive in, monitor your drinking so you can safely drive out. Collaborate with other guests to figure out the best way to carpool!

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

The ranch has provided great driving directions for you or an uber/lyft driver of your choice. Here are those directions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1B2N_2RFWC17_E7jbZMWf7GZb3sldS-bdpBc6jUqwLzU/edit

Question

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is some parking at the venue right in front (not a long walk but it is a bit rocky). Though we shouldn't be in danger of running out of room, try to carpool or use a driving service if possible. !!! Make sure to coordinate with your party to designate a sober driver or plan for a service like Uber or Lyft so that we can leave the venue safely. Some may want to continue the party in downtown Nevada City after the venue closes, so plan accordingly if that sounds fun!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal (if you aren't sure lean towards formal). Typically this includes button-down shirts, dress pants, and dress shoes with the optional blazer, suit jacket or tie for a masculine look and dresses, jumpsuits and nice shoes for a feminine look. Because this is a garden-party; lighter colors, and florals are encouraged, but don't feel like you have to go out and buy something new! I won't be checking the dress code at the door, wear something that makes you feel good. Need visuals? Here is a pinterest board if you are into that: https://pin.it/7LLd4BY

Question

What is the food and drink plan?

Answer

There will be appetizers, sides, salads, entrées, and desserts. I taste-tested everything - let me tell you - it is GOOD. Please note: remember to eat lunch before you get here! Dinner will be after the ceremony and we don't want any hangry guests. For drinks, we are having an open bar with some special twists (shhh... it's a surprise). We will have a cocktail hour with our specialty cocktails and we will serve beer, wine and seltzers throughout the night in addition to water and non-alcoholic beverages.
