After a couple weeks of talking online, we decided to have a first date to get to know each other better. After planning and anticipating, Kyle thought he had let a good one get away when Paige suddenly asked to change plans. Luckily, she was just sick and not sick of him. While trying to find a new date that worked with their schedules, Paige suggested a day, which Kyle promptly rejected. Valentine's day felt like too high of stakes for a first date. Fortunately, they were both free on the 13th. Feeling nervous for their first date, Paige practiced what to order with her roommate. While the date started smoothly, Kyle threw Paige for a loop when he didn't order fries to share as Paige had expected. Luckily, she liked him more than those fries she never got. After a few months of dating, Kyle moved to Madison and we began a short stint of long distance. Over the next four years, we spent countless hours traveling between Minneapolis, Madison, and Chicago. During this time, we got to know each others' friends and families, we explored each other's cities, and chatted for hours on FaceTime. Finally, after finishing grad school classes, Paige joined Kyle in Madison to finally end the long distance. In August of 2023, Kyle surprised Paige by proposing back where it all started, in Minneapolis. We are excited to start the next chapter of our lives together and celebrate with all of you soon!
