Our Love Story

Paige's Version

I first heard Carter's name from my middle school best friend... who Carter had a crush on. We officially met when we were twelve during a Willow Wood Junior High theater audition after school. We spent most of middle school just in the same room, but we couldn't be friends because he was a boy (ew!) I spent the first two years of high school figuring out that the feeling of "I want to be his only female friend" wasn't a normal one and finally realized how much I liked him the beginning of our junior year. I finally admitted I liked Carter and after a little back and forth, and stubbornness on my part, he admitted he had the same feelings. November 8th, 2020 we finally went on our first date and we made it official just a few days later on November 13th, 2020. Since then, I haven't known a moment without him and I have loved every second. We had so many milestones together: Homecomings, Prom, High School Graduation, College, and more! After five amazing years together, Carter proposed to me March 28th, 2026 on top of Enchanted Rock and it was nothing less than perfect. I am so in love with Carter King, and I can't wait to be his wife!

Our Love Story

Carter's Version

I first met Paige during an audition for a Little Mermaid show, where I saw her perform a song from the movie. I remember thinking to myself "well that's a little on the nose". I then proceeded to start to know Paige over the course of five years. And it wasn't until junior year of high school that I recieved a series of tik toks late one night while I was at my cousins wedding. The tik toks were ones that were all captioned "send this to your crush" or something of the sort. This lead to a series of questions and half answers on my part as it was well past midnight at that point. And I accidentally ghosted her. Fast forward a couple of months Paige and I go to the renaissance festival with what was supposed to be a group of friends dwindled down to the two of us and one other friend. It was a fun day at the festival, especially when Paige and I went through a horror house where she asked if she could hold my hand. I of course said yes as the gentlemen that I was, and we proceeded through the house. As we were holding hands I quickly came to realize how nice it was to hold her hand. And from there on I began to see Paige in a whole new light. The moment was quickly interrupted when Paige got scared by a blast of air and nearly ripped my arm off running away. But I was smitten. Of course I still had to deal with the consequences of accidentally ghosting her. So I spent the next month or so trying to get back in her good graces before properly asking her out. And finally after some typical high school swooning she said yes to me asking her out. And now we're five years removed from that story as Paige is currently planning our wedding and I am "advising". The end.
