Having both canceled their camping trips, Aaron and Lauren met in April of 2016 at a Masters Tournament Party hosted by the Campbells. The two were introduced to each other as outdoor aficionados and spent an unexpected amount of time deep in conversation about Arizona's outdoor gems and their favorite places to camp. That evening, Aaron provided Lauren with his business card and casually mentioned that they should adventure together. Their first date followed soon after, a camping trip to the Sierra Anchas in the legendary "Betty the Bronco." Initially nervous about joining a stranger in a gutted 4x4 camper, Lauren took a calculated risk that became the first of many adventures. Together they spent every weekend chasing waterfalls, navigating steep terrains, floating down slot canyons, and dangling from limestone cliffsides. A year and a half later, the couple packed their bags, ditched their commitments, and set out to 3 acres of virgin mountain nestled in the Southern Rockies.
