Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!
A fantastic spot for Spanish tapas in the heart of Lincoln Park. We were supposed to go here for our first Valentine's Day together, but life had other plans. Rachel ended up having Covid that week, so Grant recreated Rachel's favorite dishes on the menu, brought them over to her house, and we enjoyed a nice date together over FaceTime. Our favorite dishes: Patatas Bravas, Bacon-wrapped Dates, and Chicken Paella
Maple & Ash
One of the best steakhouses in town, located in Gold Coast. We first came here as a redo after missing our first Valentine's Day together. They print custom menus here, and ours said "Happy Belated Valentine's Day!" Our Favorite Dishes: Wedge Salad, French Onion Soup, Coconut Cream Pie
Riccardo Osteria
We came here for Valentine's Day in 2022 and it's become a staple of ours ever since. We've been known to make a stop here for dinner on the way to a concert at the United Center. Our Favorite Dishes: Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms, Trofie al Pesto, Chicken Parmigiana
Osteria del Pastaio
We first came here for Valentine's Day in 2023, but paid a more recent visit with both sets of our parents the evening after moving into our first apartment together in April of 2024. Our Favorite Dishes: Pecorini Al Tartufo Nero (served in a flaming cheese wheel- you have to try!), Insalata Tricolore, Tiramisu

A Michelin-starred Mediterranean spot in Lincoln Park. We first went here for our two year dating anniversary in 2022, but made another visit in 2024 to celebrate Valentine's Day and 1 year until we get married! Our Favorite Dishes: Brisket Hummus, Falafel, Pastrami
