Belize is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world! Enjoy a trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark Ray Alley, or Mexico Rocks.
Belize is home to world-class inshore and offshore fishing. Bonefish, permit, and tarpon are frequent inshore targets while wahoo, dorado, marlin, tuna, and snapper are common offshore species. There are numerous quality guides discoverable via Google & Trip Advisor.
The Great Blue Hole is a natural wonder located off the coast of Belize. It is known as one of the most remarkable dive sites in the world. The Great Blue Hole is a marine sinkhole that formed when rising sea levels flooded a series of caverns. The Blue Hole can be seen by helicopter tours or diving charters.
If you are interested in a trip to the mainland there are Mayan Temples to explore, cave tubing and zip lining!
San Pedro’s most famous restaurant on the island and one of our favorites! Delicious cocktails and food! You have to try the signature curry! We do recommend making a reservation here and tables fill up fast and long waits do occur for walk ins.
Palapa Bar is a great place for drinks and swimming. They have floating donuts to relax in while sipping your ice cold Belikin beer. They even have a pulley system to hold your bucket of beers out of the water. They also have football flags from various teams here, see if you can find your favorite! (The correct answer is Auburn, but there’s a GT flag too.)
Cool Beans is a great place for breakfast or lunch! We love their frozen strawberry colada, salsa, and ceviche! This restaurant is located on a dock directly above the water. I have never been and not seen a stingray!
Lily’s Treasure Chest is a great place for lunch! This spot is located directly on the beach offering amazing views and food. We love their ceviche and their fish cooked in 3 different ways. Fun fact Laurén and her mom brought fresh fish they caught on the boat to be cooked here!
Austin, Texas is close to our hearts as one of the first cities where Kevin joined Laurén on a layover. This outdoor food hall run by a couple from Austin brought the memories of the trip to the front of mind. There is live music, four food vendors, a full bar and biergarten, and plenty of games to enjoy.
Our favorite bar to watch airplanes take off and land. Also some of the cheapest drinks on the Island! Located right across the street from Ramon’s! It’s also connected to an ice cream shop!
