This is right in town and close to where the wedding will take place. The elevation is about 1400' lower than Cuchara and would be a great alternative for anyone who is sensitive to high elevation.

Travel Note

Road Trip!

One of the best book tropes is forced proximity. What better way to get that than a 15 hour car ride! We love to drive down to Colorado as often as we can. A few tips if you or your family can't do a full trip in one go: for a shorter split, stop overnight in Nebraska! If you're willing to go the extra mile, stay overnight in Denver or Colorado Springs. It's a ~13 hour drive to Denver and there are plenty of affordable hotels and Air BnBs in the area. We loved staying in downtown Denver and going to the Denny's at midnight.
