McKenzie and Kate met working at Touchtown in Oakmont, PA in 2017. Kate soon left the company and they both stayed in touch through McKenzie being Kate's dog sitter for Nigel and Harvey. Over time, the two started to hang out more and Harvey and McKenzie's dog Maple formed a real bond. McKenzie is now one of Kate's closest friends and is a constant in her life.

Lanie and Kate met working at Pandora Jewelry in Louisville, Kentucky in 2012. Lanie and Kate soon grew a friendship outside of work and became close friends. In 2014, Kate moved back to Pittsburgh, PA and Lanie soon moved to Lexington, Kentucky. While the distance would have most friendships dissolve, theirs became stronger with consistent trips visiting each other and both being deep in internet meme culture.

Kelsey moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 2016 while working at Alcoa. Kelsey's childhood best friend was Kate's college roommate, so the two connected when Kelsey moved to Pittsburgh. The friendship started with an awkward first 'friend date' at a mexican restaurant (Patrons in East Liberty) and accelerated quickly when they booked a trip to Greece after a few too many margaritas. Kelsey eventually moved back to Knoxville, TN in 2017 and the two have stayed in touch since then with frequent trips to visit each other always picking up right where they left off when they're together.
