We envision our wedding day as a blend of elegance and beach vibes, so we kindly request that our guests embrace semi-formal/beach chic attire. Ladies, think flowy maxi dresses or stylish cocktail dresses paired with sandals or heels. Guys, opt for slacks paired with a button-up shirt for a polished yet relaxed look (and let's leave the polos and shorts for another occasion).

To join our wedding party group, we kindly remind you to plan to stay at TRS Yucatan for a minimum of 3 nights. However, many guests have already expressed interest in extending their vacation to fully immerse themselves in all the offerings of our resort and the Tulum area. Jason and Mikaela will be staying at TRS Yucatan from May 13th, 2025, to May 20th, 2025. Apart from the events listed on our events page, there's no set itinerary for your stay. One of the highlights of the resort is its spaciousness, offering ample opportunities to socialize with other wedding guests or enjoy moments of solitude. Feel free to connect with fellow wedding attendees as you wish, or take some time to explore and savor your own vacation experience.
Booking flights from Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Chicago to Cancun can vary greatly in price. To secure the best deals, we suggest booking your flights 3-6 months in advance of our travel dates. This timeframe typically offers the most favorable rates and ensures smoother planning for your trip. We strongly suggest booking a direct flight if at all possible. Once arriving in Cancun, you'll go through another adventure getting through Customs, and then have another 75+ minute van ride to our lovely resort. Please prepare accordingly for this travel day!
Tipping practices at all-inclusive resorts can differ based on guest preferences and the level of service received. It's customary to tip transfer drivers for airport transfers, and while on the resort grounds, guests often choose to tip bartenders, servers, butlers, and housekeeping staff as a gesture of appreciation. During our pre-wedding visit, we observed that service quality remained consistent for guests whether they opted to tip or not. Feel free to tip according to your comfort level, and both Mexican pesos (MXN) and US dollars (USD) are widely accepted currencies for tipping.
Choosing to stay at an all-inclusive resort such as TRS Yucatan offers an exceptional opportunity to indulge in a carefree getaway in paradise. Your booking covers everything from meals and drinks to golf cart rides around the resort, access to all pools, and use of sports facilities and equipment. Optional extras like excursions such as swimming with turtles or exploring the Mayan ruins, spa treatments, and select premium dining experiences are available for an additional cost, allowing you to tailor your vacation to suit your preferences.
Yes! The Grand Palladium Riviera Maya property has its own on-site water treatment facility that ensures all water that's bottled and that comes out of all taps is completely safe to consume. There is bottled water at all bars, restaurants, and in the mini bar fridge in your room, as well.
Nope! All of your plug-ins will work for the outlets in your room. Next to the bed, there are also USB ports for chargers. However, these can tend to charge things very slowly. We recommend bringing a power bank or two in case!
