On Emily's first day of work at SOR, Matt came to her desk to introduce himself. They had polite chit chat as he attempted to solve the Rubik's cube on her desk (he didn't), and continued to see each other at work on occasion. Fast forward 8 months, and Emily was promoted to Product Manager - the counterpart to Matt's job. When she was hired into this position, the leaders of the company said it was partially because they "thought we would complement each other well" - little did they know! After Emily moved to Product Management, Matt and her started spending a lot more work time together. And in true Emily fashion, she kept prying trying to get to know him better. Soon enough, she broke through his shy demeanor and the rest is history!

Valentine's day morning, Emily woke up early to finish school work in hopes that she could spend the rest of the day with Matt. Matt had warned her the night before that she needed to open her present first thing, but said nothing else. So at 7 am on Sunday morning, the scavenger hunt began! Matt had hid handwritten, cute notes all around the house hinting at all the memories they had made in the past years. (He even managed to attach one to the cat!) Then, after reading the final note, Emily turned around to see Matt on one knee with the most gorgeous ring possible. Champagne was served and no school work was done that day.
