Luis and Laura are polar opposites when it comes to planning. While Laura has everything planned out a minimum of 1 month in advance, Luis is a “in-the-moment” kind of guy! So after enjoying a beautiful dinner and night out in St. Augustine, Luis, who has the ring in his pocket all night was on the hunt for the perfect place. Eventually settling on a photo/video booth outside of the lightner museum. After being instructed to be back-to-back they turned around to face each-other while the camera zoomed around them and Luis was already on one knee. Like all things in life, the perfect moment had to contain some comedic relief and the camera had actually just stopped filming when he got on one knee. So the people watching from the sidewalks yelled for them to start the cameras again and the moment was captured. All in all it was a memorable and beautiful night. Luis wasn't expecting much other than a good night with friends until Laura showed up to his birthday party in downtown Gainesville. There with a mutual friend, Laura tried to ask Luis questions but they didn't speak much the first night they met (partially because they spoke different languages) but from that first moment Luis was sure he found the girl he would one day marry. When you know, you know. After a couple of weeks of waiting and planning he was ready and able to make his move and she was single and ready to mingle. Since the first date they've been practically inseparable. The first few dates were a challenge and Luis really dedicated himself to becoming fluent in English and once achieved the rest was easy! Luis no esperaba mucho más que una buena noche con amigos hasta que Laura apareció en su fiesta de cumpleaños en el centro de Gainesville. Allí con un amigo en común, Laura intentó hacerle preguntas a Luis pero no hablaron mucho la primera noche que se conocieron (en parte porque hablaban idiomas diferentes) pero desde ese primer momento Luis estuvo seguro de haber encontrado a la chica con la que algún día se casaría. Cuando lo sabes, lo sabes. Después de un par de semanas de espera y planificación, él estaba listo y era capaz de hacer su movimiento y ella estaba soltera y lista para socializar. Desde la primera cita han sido prácticamente inseparables. Las primeras citas fueron un desafío y Luis realmente se dedicó a hablar inglés con fluidez y una vez logrado, ¡el resto fue fácil!
