La Casona de Tete is a petite, six-room hotel located in the heart of Lagos de Moreno, less than a block from the main cathedral. Each room has its own personal style and breakfast is included. Casa Damiana is a boutique, four-room hotel available to book through airbnb. Breakfast is included at a nearby restaurant. A more communal option for those who would like to stay together. Casa Mariano is a home available to book through airbnb with three bedrooms and a rooftop hottub. This is a good option for smaller groups or families looking to stay together. Lagos Inn (located in downtown Lagos) and Express Inn (located in Lagos on the way to the venue) are two traditional hotel options available as well.
We will be providing transportation from downtown Lagos de Moreno to the ceremony at Puerta del Coche. It's about a 30 minute drive. There will also be transportation back to downtown Lagos at the end of the night. More details to come!
You can expect temperatures in the mid 70s (°F) during the day, and 50s (°F) at night. We recommend packing a jacket.
If flying to Leon (BJX) or Aguascalientes (AGU) you will be able to get to Lagos de Moreno via cab, and do not need a car to explore the town (it's very small and walkable). However, if you are flying to Guadalajara (GDL) or would like to check out surrounding cities like Guanajuato or San Miguel de Allende, a rental car is recommended. Attire: semi-formal or cocktail. Please note that, weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors on grass. We recommend comfortable shoes!
