OZZIE + BRYAN WERE MARRIED IN A PRIVATE CEREMONY ON MARCH 23RD, 2020 IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA

Our original plan was to get married in Mexico 10.10.20, but then COVID appeared. We knew for our marriage to be legal, we would have to be married in the U.S. so we decided there was no time like the present. It was late February, and we booked an appointment with a judge, and we tied the knot in a very small ceremony (honored to have two witnesses) on March 23, 2020. Our plan was to still have a ceremony in October. But the pandemic grew quickly, and we decided to delay until July of 2021. COVID still persisted and lives were changing. With that, we pushed it out another year (2022) and this gave us time to look at venues for the ceremony and celebration. Well... after visiting a few resort hotels we narrowed it down. When it finally came down to securing a contract, everything changed from when we originally spoke to the resort. This happened 3 times. Wedding planning can be very frustrating. So here we are... we know some of you will be disappointed, but we are still planning a celebratory getaway and if you are excited to join us for a week in Mexico, we'd love to share the time with you.

Nuestro plan original era casarnos en México el 10.10.20, pero el COVID apareció. Sabíamos que para que nuestro matrimonio fuera legal, tendríamos que estar casados en EE.UU.., así que decidimos que no había mejor momento que el presente. Fue a fines de febrero, reservamos una cita con un juez y nos casamos en una ceremonia muy pequeña (honrados de tener dos testigos) el 23 de marzo de 2020. Nuestro plan era tener una ceremonia en octubre. Pero la pandemia creció rápidamente y decidimos retrasar hasta julio de 2021. El COVID aún persistía y las vidas estaban cambiando. Con eso, lo pospusimos un año más (2022) y esto nos dio tiempo para buscar lugares para la ceremonia y la celebración. Después de varios hoteles, redujimos nuestra selección. Cuando finalmente llegó el momento de asegurar un contrato, todo cambió desde que hablamos originalmente con el hotel. Esto sucedió 3 veces. La planificación de bodas puede ser muy frustrante. Sabemos que algunos de ustedes se sentirán decepcionados, pero todavía estamos planeando una vacación de celebración y esperamos que sigan emocionados de acompañarnos durante una semana en México, nos encantaría compartir el tiempo con ustedes.
