There are many ways you can get to Rio Preto. Getting a flight directly to SJP airport is the easiest, but usually most expensive one. There are only 2 daily flights (8am and 8pm) from São Paulo's international Airport (GRU) and 5 flights from VCP (first one 9:30am and the last one at 11pm)

GRU is the international airport for those flying through São Paulo. Viracopos International Airport (VCP)

This airport is located in Campinas-SP. The company that flies there is Azul (the Brazilian version of JetBlue). You could get a round trip USA - VCP (1 daily nonstop from Fort Lauderdale and another from Orlando) and then another round trip VCP - SJP. The round trip VCP - SJP costs usually less than $100 dollars in advance, but you will have to pay extra to check your luggage. You can also take a bus from Campinas to São José do Rio Preto. This is the newest hotel in town, and it is conveniently located at a shopping mall - with restaurants, pharmacy, hair salon, etc. It is about 3 miles away from the wedding venue, and it would cost you about R$15.00 (less than US$4.00) for an UberX. Yes, we do have Uber here :) The hotel has a 24/7 bar and mini-market, and amenities include free parking, free wi-fi, a gym and a swimming pool. The fare also includes breakfast.
