Ethan & I had college algebra together our first semester at Southwestern. I sat in the front row & he was in the third. We’re not sure when we officially met but we’re assuming it was at a Sigma & TKE event. Needless to say I was EXTREMELY interested & it took about 3 years for this boy to notice. It seemed for about year we just couldn’t get our timing right, until the summer of 2018 arrived and the stars finally aligned. We were both so nervous to date each other because our friendship was so good but there was this feeling that I couldn’t shake. I knew he was the one on our first date & we haven’t looked back since!
We had planned to join Ethan's parents to Florida to visit family. They were gracious enough to go to Disney for a day! Little did I know the true plan behind the Disney day. This was my first time to go to Disney with Ethan so I was already pretty excited. Then as we walked up towards the castle, he pointed out the area he wanted to take our picture. We found a Disney Photopass photographer, who was wonderful by the way, and we started taking pictures. I start to hear Ethan telling me how much he loves me. Then the photographer had me take a step forward and when I turned around, Ethan was on one knee. I found myself overwhelmed and fell to my knees. I was hardly able to stand when I heard him ask me to marry him. He already knew what my answer would be so I cleverly said, you know I will.
We currently live on the north side of Oklahoma City with our beautiful puppers, Switzer. I work for a nonprofit organization in the fundraising department. Ethan works for a contractor for the City of Oklahoma City inspecting utility lines. We spend most of our time watching Friends, The Office, and football. If we aren't at home we're spending time with our friends and family.
