Please expect invitations early due to the fact that accommodations will need to reserved by early June.
When you receive your invitations, please call Frost Valley YMCA to set up your weekend reservation. Accommodations have been hand-selected for you by the bride and groom. It's really important to have as many people stay on camp as possible, please take this into consideration when RSVP-ing. LODGING: Lakeview Guests - Hotel-Style lodging - Each room has its own private bathroom and 2 full-size beds. Linens are included. Castle - It is an honor to sleep in such a historical and beautiful building. The rooms are set up like an AirBNB home. Each room has two double beds. Linens are included. Cabins - Each cabin has a main room with 8 to 10 bunk beds, one private counselor room, and 1 or 2 bathrooms depending on the location. Each bunk has 1 pillow and 1 blanket that will be available to you, but please remember to pack your sheets! If a Camper forgets their linens, their in-cabin CIT can help them arrange proper beddings.
There is very little cell reception at camp - It is sometimes possible to send a text-only from inside Geyer Hall. There are multiple spots where wifi is available - The Dining Hall, Lakeview Lodge, & the Welcome Center. The wifi password will be provided to you upon check-in at the Welcome Center. Please be sure to plan ahead on your journey.... Also, your counselor will take your phone away if you are on it all session - Enjoy nature!!!
PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES - There are countless hills and you will be walking everywhere. (You can drive but you have to say under 15mph) Wedding attire is Creative Cocktail, which gives you the full creative freedom to wear the footwear of your choice. When participating in activities and walking around camp - it is the camp's policy that all guests wear close-toed shoes. (You can not wear Crocs on the zipline!) As campers, both Owen and Madeline spent many a time in the infirmary because they sliced their toes open on rocks!
Camp meals are included in your stay at camp - Friday midnight snack, Saturday Morning Breakfast, Saturday Lunch, and Sunday Breakfast. Wedding meals include - Friday night welcome dinner, Saturday Reception dinner, and Sunday brunch. If you do not wish to participate in any of the above meals there is a suggested list of eating locations provided in the "Explore the Catskills" section.
For those of you who have never been to the Catskills in September, the weather can be very different from day to night. Expect 72 degrees during the day and 40 degrees at night. Please pack layers!!! See the packing list in the invitation!
