They met at a bar in the middle of a wake... that neither party knew was happening. Jessica got drug out for a drink after cutting a friends hair and stayed for Shelby’s birthday. Owen was going out for a night out with friends from work and drank way to much tequila with Chris. Owen was playing pool in these god awful knee high steel toe boots - they were terrible, I promise. Jessica was sitting on a stool minding her own business (haha) talking to Shelby and watching this cute boy play pool, that she had seen a time or two fixing tires around town. Eventually the tequila took over and Owen decided he had enough liquid courage to come over and talk. After a couple hours of talking, the boys decided we should all go to the shop for a couple drinks. Owen and Jessica spent the night talking, he proposed with a hose clamp and Chris ordained our shop wedding - never knowing what the universe held for them. Over the next 3 years Owen and Jessica created a beautiful life together, Owen adopted Presley and they continued on with a crazy adventure. On their vacation to drumheller Owen decided it was finally time to propose with something fancier than a hose clamp, and popped the question in Berthas (giant dinosaur) mouth. Jessica screamed “No” as loud as she could, before the tears started and no other words came out. Terrified of heights Jessica shook her head yes a million times, until Owen finally placed the ring on her finger. The rest is history. Who knew a night in a shop with a man in ugly boots would lead to a beautiful life together.
