We recommend flying into JFK Airport, LaGuadia Airport, or Newark Airport. Kayak.com and Orbitz.com are convenient tools for finding cheap flights. Once you get to the airport, take a cab, Uber, Lyft, or public transportation to get to your hotel. Travel times listed here will vary depending on where you book your stay: JFK Airport -by car to Brooklyn: 45 minutes. A ride on Lyft/Uber may be around $90. -by public transportation: air train to a 1-hour ride on the Subway LaGuardia Airport (LGA) -by car to Brooklyn: 25 minutes -by public transportation: 1-hour ride, includes a transfer from a bus to the Subway Newark Airport (EWR) -by car to Brooklyn: 50 minutes. Travel Note
We are big fans of Airbnb and we think it can be a great option for a Brooklyn stay. To help make the search easier, here are some neighborhoods that we would recommend. Feel free to email Owen or Dana if you would like advice on a specific rental. DUMBO This is where we the venue is located. It isn't super residential, but there may be some unique opportunities. Excellent access to waterfront parks. Brooklyn Heights A historic neighborhood just west of DUMBO. It has many lovely brownstones and provides quick access to the beautiful Brooklyn Promenade, which affords great views of Manhattan. Cobble Hill A quiet residential neighborhood with an abundance of good restaurants, just south of Brooklyn Heights. Fort Greene Another historic neighborhood that features Fort Greene Park. Home to some beautiful brownstones. Other neighborhoods to consider are Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, and Park Slope.
