Please let us know on your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. Our caterer will make you a meal to accommodate, but we must let them know beforehand. In your response, please include the name(s) of people in your party and their dietary restrictions.
Yes! The venue has plenty of parking, so we don't expect this to be an issue for guests that are driving.
Using ride-share to get to the venue before the event is do-able. However, because the venue is in the mountains, it is extremely difficult to find a ride-share to pick you up at the end of the night. We will provide shuttle transportation between the venue and the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos to resolve this issue. You may choose to take the shuttles only one direction. Please see FAQ "What Transport Will Be Provided" for further detail. If you miss the shuttles at the end of the night, prior event guests have had better luck finding rides with Lyft as opposed to Uber. You may also contact a local Taxi service.
We are contracting a service to shuttle guests to the venue from the Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos, and back at the end of the night. Shuttles to the venue prior to the wedding will depart the Toll House Hotel at 2:30pm. At the end of the night, shuttles will depart the Nestldown parking lot at 9:30 PM and drop-off guests at the Toll House Hotel. If you intend to utilize the shuttle, please let us know on your RSVP so that we may reserve the appropriate number of shuttles.
The attire we've chosen is semi-formal. That means you can wear cocktail dresses, suits, gowns, or tuxes. Think more dressed up than you'd wear to work in an office, and less fancy than going to a gala. The venue does have grass, so for those wearing heels, you may want to consider a thicker heel to avoid sinking into the grass. Shoes are required by the venue at all times, so try to wear something comfy, or bring a change of shoes if you foresee blisters! Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. Dinner may be inside or outside, depending on the weather. We recommend bringing a light coat for the evening time. While we are hoping for a beautiful day, the Santa Cruz mountains might be chilly on an evening in April. It's probably best to keep an eye on the forecast as the day gets closer.
No, please refrain from bringing in any food or beverages. We will have a plentiful variety of food and drinks to choose from! It will be an open bar. :)
Yes! We have opted for a buffet style dinner so that everyone may serve themselves as much as they would like. Dessert will also be provided.
Yes, but only in the designated smoking area. This area is easy to locate near the main barn. There are signs to help you locate it, or feel free to ask a Nestldown employee.
Nope! Christine and Matt will be providing an open bar.
No, we researched room blocks for hotels in the area, and didn't see much benefit. We will be staying at the Toll House Hotel in downtown Los Gatos. We hear it's a lovely hotel, and has been recommended by the venue staff. Feel free to join us there!
