Question

Can I take pictures of the wedding?

Answer

During the ceremony, we ask that guests do not take any pictures OR speak out loud during any point in the ceremony for we have hired a fantastic photographer and videographer to capture those beautiful moments for us to look back on years to come! During the reception, yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #lewisinlove so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Question

What kind of food and drinks will be served?

Answer

We will have a cocktail hour after the ceremony followed by a buffet-style dinner consisting of smoked shredded chicken tacos with toppings. Beer and wine will be served throughout the reception. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you complete your online RSVP.

Question

Will the wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding and reception will be outdoors. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as most of your time will be spent outside on the grassy lawn. As our wedding day approaches, also be mindful of the weather forecast for that day. South Carolina is known to have unpredictable weather!

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Casual. Casual dress means wedding guests can wear pretty much anything they want. We recommend a nice dress for the ladies and dress pants with a button-down shirt or polo shirt for the guys. Remember, our wedding festivities will be taking place outside on a grassy lawn, so comfortable shoes and clothes are recommended.

Question

Can I bring a date and are children welcome?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you. Of course There will be children at the wedding for the bride and groom have children so they are welcome but if at all possible we want to try and limit the amount of kids.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Guests can RSVP right here on our wedding website! Simply click on the RSVP page at the top and enter your name, along with a few questions to answer for the bride and groom. Please RSVP by November 1st,2020.

Question

I am worried about attending a large event because of COVID-19. What should I do?

Answer

We completely understand your concerns. More than anything, we absolutely want our guests to feel safe and comfortable, even if that means not attending our wedding. No need to explain--we get it. Times are scary and uncertain. All we ask is that you please let us know ASAP that you will not be coming by either updating your online RSVP or reaching out to us personally. We will miss your dearly, but we know we are loved and supported even from afar!

Question

What precautions are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Answer

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, we will be having all of our wedding festivities outdoors. Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place outside, which will allow for seating to be spread apart 6 feet or more to align with social distancing regulations. Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout our venue and we will encourage guests to use them frequently, especially before interacting with others or touching common surfaces. Although not required, we encourage our guests to wear masks if they feel more comfortable doing so. And of course, anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted to attend.
