Question

How should I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will be offering a shuttle service from Courtyard York to the venue at 3:15 PM and 3:55 PM. Our other hotel, TownePlace Suites, is located next door - you can walk right over to grab the shuttle! Guests are encouraged to take the 3:15 PM shuttles as this service will be first come, first served. Our venue offers free parking for anyone that chooses to drive. You may park there overnight but must retrieve your vehicle by 11 AM Saturday morning. Ride shares available in the area, but will likely be harder to obtain.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but unfortunately due to space limitations, we are having an adults-only reception. The only children attending are those who are in our wedding party. If you need help with making arrangements for child care, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. There's a great dress code guide on Zola's Expert Advice page at www.zola.com/expert-advice/what-to-wear-to-a-wedding! Guests should feel welcome to wear Spring colors or patterns (in suits or dresses!).

Can I take photos at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not take any photos during the ceremony. We are so excited that you'll be joining us, and we want you to relax and be fully present as we take our vows. We have a wonderful team of photographers who will capture every moment, and we'll make sure you see those photos as soon as we do. Feel free to take as many photos as you'd like before or after the ceremony!

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Should the weather be nice, our ceremony will take place at The Woodlands ceremony site at Stone Mill Inn. This is - you guessed it - essentially in the woods, so you may wish to consider this when choosing footwear. The cocktail hour will be on the patio and the reception will be inside the mill itself.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! Our venue does not have any stairs and there is a handicap accessible restroom inside the reception hall. Please note that the ceremony will take place in a wooded area on top of wood chips. If you need a chair with a back, please let us know and we will reserve one for you!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any allergy concerns with the provided meal options and we will work with the venue to ensure an allergy-friendly meal is made for you.

Answer
