Tyler and Madison first crossed paths in the familiar setting of a church small group, but they remained little more than acquaintances until a young adult retreat to Hocking Hills. What began as a simple conversation among the trees quickly turned into a deeper connection—one made even more surprising when they discovered that Madison’s uncle worked at the same company as Tyler. A few weeks later, they set out on their first date to hike the trails of Nelson’s Ledges. Madison was so caught up in the day that she didn't see the tree root in her path until she tripped over it. Despite the pain, she chose to power through the rest of the hike, eventually ending the night sharing burgers and laughs at Rockne’s. It wasn’t until weeks later that she learned she had actually broken her foot that afternoon; it turns out she had literally fallen for Tyler from the very start. Since that first hike, their relationship has been defined by a shared foundation of faith and a love for adventure. Their journey eventually led them to Treasure Island, Florida, during a family vacation. There, on the sand, Tyler proposed.
