Austin and I attended Azusa Pacific & interestingly enough, we shared a class our first semester, unaware of one another. It was not until senior year when we set out for a backpacking trip in Yosemite, as part of our training as Resident Advisors, that we met. Austin was one of the leaders for the first day in the valley. I remember sitting across from him that night, listening to him and thinking, “what amazing luck I have to meet someone like Cozzi.” One of our camps was near water and let me tell you - climbing over boulders without glasses, is difficult! But in that moment, Austin held out his hand and said, “let me help you”. The way back to camp, felt like time had slowed down to give us the chance to finally meet. Yosemite will always be dear to us. Our first date took place in Azusa, Ca. at a local sushi restaurant. It is one of favorite food spots and since, we have returned often. We graduated with our bachelors in May 2019. Austin graduated May 2020 with his Masters in Professional Accountancy (pursuing CPA) and I will be graduating M.A Ed. sometime in the near future! We have a mutual love for the ocean, doggos, and our loved ones.

Austin proposed in Yosemite. Amongst the grand valley, where our threads first joined. We are overjoyed in this season of life. God is the author of our story and we cannot wait to celebrate with each of you! - Linny Ponce & Austin Cozzi
