We both worked at Culvers during the time we met. Carlee had just transferred stores being a manager for Culver's. Kyle was working for the summer back from school. Carlee was Kyle's boss and also controlled the scheduling. Once we became friends, Carlee would always schedule us to work together. Instantly we clicked and couldn't spend days apart. We became best friends for a long time until the truth came out about our feelings towards one another. We fell in love and spent all of our time with each other. We have only gotten stronger throughout our relationship and our love continues to grow everyday.

We were on a vacation in Punta Cana along with 9 of our best friends. I had a big feeling he was gonna propose to me on this trip, but I wasn't 100% sure. Let me tell you, he played it out well. Since he knew I thought it was happening, he decided to trick me! 2 days before he proposed, we were out watching a live show. At one point in the night, he pulled me away from the others and sat me down seriously. He explained to me that he knew I was kind of expecting it to happen but unfortunately the ring was still being manufactured. He also mentioned that he had not talked to my parents yet and he was waiting on the ring before he went over to speak with them. I was sad but I completely believed him, he knew my parents wanted him to approach them with the ring before he asked me. Long story short, we had a boat trip planned on the weekend to visit Saona Island. Now, little did I know the ring was in our friend Destinee's bag so I wouldn't find it. I actually asked her to hold something for me in her bag, and looking back at it now I remember her face being concerned (like I was gonna reach in her bag and find it before he did it). Whenever Kyle and I go on vacation we always walk across the shore line looking for sea shells! Once we got to the Island, he asked me to walk along the shore and look for shells. I had no idea what was going on till he started bringing up our story of how we got together. He expressed his love for me and next thing I knew, he dropped down onto one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes :)
