Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alanna Rae Olken and Scot Garrison Meyer
Mexico City has incredible cafes, parks, shops, and cuisine of all types. From street food to high end dining - below are a few of our favorites to explore while you are in town.

Avenida Ámsterdam

Ámsterdam 67a, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06100, Mexico

Avenida Amsterdam is home to several shops, cafes, and historic Mexico City homes. The street is lined with greenery and is a perfect place to go for a stroll and pick up a taco or a coffee.

Parque España

Parque España, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06140, Mexico

A great park to get some fresh air in a tropical setting.

Casa Estudio Luis Barragán

12 General Francisco Ramírez, Ciudad de México, CDMX 11840, Mexico

Fun museum to explore!

Panadería Rosetta Puebla

242 Puebla, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

Excellent spot for coffee and pastries. Known for their guava pastry.

Qūentin Café

64 Avenida Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

Great spot for coffee and pastries.

Tlecan

228 Avenida Álvaro Obregón, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

Really really fun mezcal bar in Roma Norte. Don’t forget to try their chapulines.

Contramar

200 Calle de Durango, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

One of the pillars of Mexico City's food scene - Contramar specializes in seafood forward Mexican dishes. A great place for lunch or dinner. We recommend you make a reservation ahead of time and do not miss the tuna tostadas and pasta with clams.

Tacos Hola El Güero

135 Ámsterdam, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06100, Mexico

An amazing stop for a taco if walking along Amsterdam Avenue. Some of our favorite in the area!

Marmota

53 Plaza Río de Janeiro, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

One of our first dates, Marmota sits right on the edge of another of our favorite parks in the city. Marmota is a small taste of the “Puget Sound” in the heart of Mexico City. The space is centered around a wood-burning fireplace and focuses on wild seafood, farm vegetables, and a variety of fermentations. Excellent Mezcal menu as well.

Choza

Cerrada de Rey 3 Yupanqui, Ciudad de México, CDMX 14630, Mexico

Delish Thai food in a funky and fun setting. (I know it sounds odd to eat Thai in Mexico, but trust me on this one!)

Iddis bakery

410 Campeche, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06170, Mexico

This is our friend Michelle's bakery! Try everything.

Bar Las Brujas

Calle Rio de Janeiro 56 Local B Col, Ciudad de México, CDMX 06700, Mexico

This is a great spot to grab a delicious and inventive cocktail on a lively corner in Roma Norte. “Bruja” means witch in Spanish. Make sure to check the blurb in the menu about the history of the name and the building.
