They meet on Facebook dating. Michael had sent a message "Want to meet up at Beans and Brews for some coffee"? and that's all Nicole needed to hear as she was very excited to meet him (yet Nicole didn't like coffee at the time). After the short coffee date Michael could not keep Nicole off of his mind so he invited her for dinner at his place that night. All it took was one coffee date and Chinese take out for these two to decide they were a couple.
