A modern day love story and a tale of many cities. Bailey was living in Minneapolis visiting Chicago to accept a job offer in July of 2018. Joe was visiting friends and family in Chicago while living in Arizona the same weekend. A few weeks later we began talking via a dating app, and in September we decided to meet up for the first time in Denver. In December of 2018 we made things official, and Joe moved back to Chicago in May of 2019. In September of 2019 we signed a lease for an apartment together in Chicago, taking the next big step in our relationship. COVID brought us a new set of adventures and challenges. Beginning in March of 2020 Joe taught 6th grade from the living room and Bailey led customer calls in the bedroom of our 943 square foot apartment for a full year. Needless to say we learned a lot about each other, and more importantly, knew that even in the scariest of times... we were each other's solid ground. Joe proposed in Laguna Beach on July 10th 2021. The fun part of this story is when a huge wave came rolling in while Joe was mid knee down in the proposal. The wave wiped out the beach. We thought we lost the ring (thankfully we did not!), but Joe's sister Danielle's shoe was the true casualty to the Pacific Ocean. But not to worry, Joe still got down on one knee and we recreated the proposal....and had a photographer there to capture both events. In April of 2022 we bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago. Becoming homeowners has led us to a new chapter in our relationship, and we truly learn something new everyday....(and our parents are always on speed dial). It's been an exciting 4 years and we can't wait to celebrate our big day with our closest friends and family on October 1st, 2022!
