Groom
Although I grew up in Millersville, PA, just outside of Lancaster, I was coincidentally born in Phoenixville which is where I've been living for the past six years since graduating from Penn State. I've always had a passion for music. I play the oboe and have been performing in various band and orchestra ensembles since middle school. Even though I'm absolutely horrible at sports, I'm still a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State Nittany Lions. Beth and I both share a love of new experiences and traveling and we can't wait to create many more memories together!
Bride
I grew up in Harford County, MD, surrounded by cornfields and back roads. Having a larger family than most, I was blessed by my parents with many opportunities. My whole life I have had a strong commitment to family, a love of animals, and a sense of adventure instilled in me. Those things still ring true for me, even today. I studied Business and played field hockey at Stonehill College in Massachusetts, and studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany during the Spring of 2014. I love going on adventures, big and small, and I never miss an opportunity to spend time with family. I cannot wait to embark on this next chapter with Jason, as we take on all kinds of new experiences together!
Best Man
Sean was a fellow long-suffering Chemical Engineering student with me at Penn State. We would consistently see each other at classes and around the dorms, but being the introverts that we are, never actually said hi to each other until halfway through Sophomore year. Since that moment, which we refer to as "that fateful day", we've been best friends. From enduring countless all-nighters doing engineering homework together to being my roommate, travel buddy, sounding board about life, and eventual (super chill) landlord, Sean has always had my back. He's been completely supportive of Beth and my's relationship from the start and I'm honored to have him standing by me on this day.
Maid of Honor
Megan lived next door to me in O'Hara Hall freshman year at Stonehill College. We became friends through chance meetings in the common space, where Megan would hang out when she locked herself out of her room (the doors ruthlessly auto-locked when they closed). When Julia transferred to Catholic U in DC for Sophomore year, Megan and I decided to take the plunge and room together. We became fast friends, realizing that we not only shared a love of Disney movies and mini-adventures, but also the same birthday! We partook in many shenanigans in college, including weathering many a blizzard (which we coped with by building a blanket fort), snuggling in to re-watch Glee, and taking car rides to nowhere when one of us had a bad day.
Groomsman
After originally only being referred to as "Smoothie Guy" by Lindsey, in reference to her first date with him, Justin has since become the guy I'm honored to call my brother-in-law. I instantly took notice of his unending patience, kindness, and constant support - not just to Lindsey, but to everyone who he comes in contact with. At first, a part of me even wondered if any of it was sustainable! But he's proved me wrong time and time again, and since then we've gotten to know each much better and I'm so glad to have him as part of the family.
Bridesmaid
Being an only child, I have always wondered what it would be like to have a sister - and now I am THRILLED to not only be marrying Jason, but gaining Lindsey as a sister! The bond Lindsey and Jason share has been a huge inspiration, ever since we first started dating, and I was delighted to find out that Lindsey and I share a lot in common! We have been blessed to have been able to travel together a few times, and shared many fan-girl moments on our recent trip to Harry Potter World at Universal Orlando. She is also getting married (June 2019), and has been excellent to bounce ideas off, as well as calming me down a few times! Lindsey has made me feel so welcome, and I cannot wait for Jason and I to build our life together with a sister by our sides!
Groomsman
Don't let the website formalities fool you. This man's real name is Kibby. Don't believe me? Then let me recount the time when I first met his sister: Kibby was one of my fellow roommates at my off-campus house at Penn State which we referred to as "The Mount". One day, a girl who I didn't recognize walked into the house and asked "Where's Kevin?". The fact that at least two of us responded with "Who's Kevin? ...And who are you?!" just about sums up everything you need to know about Kibby. Joking aside, Kibby is a great friend and is always up for anything. Whether it's taking a road trip for a Penn State away game, or making a 1-1/2 hour drive to just come hang out, Kibby is always there.
Bridesmaid
Every introvert needs an extroverted friend to drag them out into the world to make friends, and Julia was mine! We roomed together freshmen year in O'Hara Hall at Stonehill College, and had many adventures and fun times. We played Where's Waldo in our messy dorm room, created a string rigging to open the door from our beds, and did not score very well at our dorm's "How Well Do You Know Your Roommate?" trivia night. But who needs to know personal details when you share a sense of humor? Since freshmen year, we have become fast friends, staying close no matter how far away the other has lived. We have had many adventures, most recently, Jason and I's once in a lifetime trip to Austria to visit Julia who was living there at the time!
Groomsman
Another roommate of mine at the Mount, Curtis has always been a close friend and someone who I can just talk honestly and openly about life with. Whether complaining to each other about our love lives (or lack thereof) in college, or having in-depth conversations about everything from sports, to Penn State, to politics, Curtis is always there to lend a listening ear or words of wisdom. He's one of those people who's personality can light up a room, and anyone who knows him will tell you that you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone more genuine. I admire his drive and commitment to his friends, family, and faith and I'm proud to have him standing with me on this big day!
Bridesmaid
Emily and I have been friends since we were tiny. Whether it be playing dress up, barbies, or computer games, we have had many adventures over the years. We have always had very similar tastes in shows, books, and music, and even had a long-standing "agree-to-disagree" truce about which one of us would get to marry Nick Carter of The Backstreet Boys. Though we were always in the same school, we didn't get to share a class until Calculus (my senior year), where we sat near each other, and got in trouble semi-regularly for talking too often. I am glad to have Emily as one of my oldest friends, and so happy to have her by my side for this next chapter!
Groomsman
What can I say about Nick Baile? That he's charming? Handsome? Talented? Everything a man wishes he could be? Well, everything except for being good at cornhole! I met Nick in college through the church group we were a part of, ACF. Nick has always been one of my favorite guys to hang out with and just do life with. We both share a strong affinity for all things Penn State and football. After graduating from Penn State, Nick spent the next few years serving in the Air National Guard in various locations throughout the country and even spent some time deployed overseas. During that time, the two of us stayed in touch and Sean, Kibby, and I even paid Nick a visit in San Antonio! Now, Nick is (hopefully) permanently located in Wilmington and I'm glad I get to see him more often!
Bridesman
Jeff was one of the friends that Julia helped me make freshman year of college. His room was always the gathering place for the group on the weekends, and the spot where we came home to have life chats until the sun was almost up. Jeff became one of my closest friends in college, and has always been so supportive, no matter what the topic is. Somewhere between the watch parties, the Target runs, the sing-alongs, family dinners at the Commons, and the long-distance letters while we were abroad, we formed a friendship that lasts. Even though we live far away, we sneak a brunch in here or there when one of us is in town. Although he won't be able to attend, knowing that I have Jeff's support in this next stage of my life means the world to me!
