FAQs

If you have any additional questions beyond what we’ve shared here, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to ensure the weekend is seamless and enjoyable for all!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal cocktail attire. For the ladies, midi- or floor-length dresses are perfect. For the gentlemen, we recommend a nice dress shirt and dress pants. Ties are optional, just please no jeans/denim or shades of white. Additionally, we are really hoping to have our ceremony outside! We are planning for a short and sweet 20 minute ceremony in the fresh spring air before walking together to the indoor reception for the rest of the night. It will likely be a little chilly, so please dress accordingly with a warm layer or wrap! Thank you in advance!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on your wedding invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, their name will appear under yours when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please reach out if you have questions.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, due to space restrictions, our ceremony and reception will be an adults-only celebration unless your invitation states otherwise. Invitations will list any children invited. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are there hotel room blocks available?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the "Travel Accommodations" tab on our wedding website for full details.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Complimentary shuttle services will be provided to and from select locations for the wedding. Please visit the ‘Travel Accommodations’ tab for additional details, and check back as we approach the date for specific shuttle times and pickup locations. Additionally, Uber and Lyft are not available in the Brainerd area. The Brainerd Area Taxi (# 218-828-1111) or Ole's Shuttle Service (# 218-821-1615) would be the most reliable transportation services for individual guests and small groups. Please plan your transportation accordingly.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Free parking is available on-site. Overnight parking is allowed, but guests do need pick up their vehicle by noon the following day.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time to walk to the outdoor ceremony site and find your seat. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm.

Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors, weather permitting, and the reception will be held indoors. Both events are at Catalyst, with a short walk along a paved path connecting the outdoor ceremony area to the Catalyst Event Center for the reception.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you put your phones away and on silent for our unplugged ceremony. We have an amazing photographer and videographer capturing every moment, and we promise to share all of the photos and videos with you!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

The "RSVP" tab on our wedding website will become available once you receive your formal wedding invitation this winter. We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than April 2nd. We hope to get to celebrate with you!

Question

What if I am traveling from out of state?

Answer

Option 1: Fly into Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). From there, you can rent a car at the airport and drive up north to Brainerd (~2.5 hr drive). Link for car rentals: https://azcars.rentals/car-rental/usa-minneapolis-airport-st-paul-international-msp Option 2: Book a Delta flight to The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport (BRD), which typically connects through Minneapolis–Saint Paul Airport (MSP). Please note that car rentals at BRD may be limited, so we recommend booking your rental in advance to ensure availability.
