When Samantha was a junior in high school, she posted a "boyfriend application" as a joke on Twitter. With Valentine's Day approaching, she thought it would be fun to find a date. Thanks to some retweets from friends, the post landed on Nadeem’s timeline – and, to her surprise, he actually applied! (Of course, he was joking too.) They started messaging on Twitter, exchanged phone numbers, and eventually went on their first date. Convincing her parents to let her go out with someone she’d met on the internet took some effort, but it was totally worth it... haha. Soon after, they quickly realized they were a perfect match. Their shared upbringing, similar dreams for the future, and the same sense of humor made their connection undeniable. A fun twist of fate: both their families moved to the United States the same year. Nadeem is from Switzerland, and Samantha is from Bolivia, so they bonded over the experience of living the American Dream as first-generation immigrants. They attended each other’s high school prom, graduated in 2018, and moved to San Marcos to pursue their passion for exercise and fitness at Texas State University. Together, they supported each other throughout their studies and graduated in 2022. By this point, after five years of dating, Samantha was more than ready for Nadeem to "put a ring on it." But life had other plans, and instead of a proposal, they ended up purchasing a home in 2023. Finally, on May 21st, 2024, while vacationing in Europe, Nadeem popped the question – and, of course, Samantha said yes!
