The Oregon coast has always been a special place for both of us; full of childhood memories and a shared love for the ocean. So when it came time to propose, Oskar knew there was no better spot. With help from our amazing moms, Kerri and Becca, Oskar wrote a heartfelt message, placed it in a glass bottle, and made a plan to have it hidden in the sand for Sammi to find. On February 24th, 2024, we headed to the beach through classic Oregon rain. But as we arrived, the skies cleared in a moment of perfect, unexpected calm. The ocean shimmered, the wind stilled; it felt like the world paused just for us. Oskar spotted the bottle and handed it to Sammi. Inside was his note, and after she read it, he got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes. Then, surprising him completely, Sammi pulled out a ring of her own, got down on one knee, and proposed right back. He said yes, too. Two proposals. Two rings. One perfect day.
