How We Met!

Faith, Favor, & Forever!

What we now know was God’s perfect plan began one night at a Hammond High School Homecoming. In a room full of people, God allowed our paths to cross — and from that moment on, He began writing a love story greater than we could have imagined. Somewhere between the laughter and late-night conversations, we realized something special was beginning. He remembered the little things — like how much I love breakfast — and planned our very first date at Waffle House. It might sound corny, but it was perfect. It wasn’t about the place, it was about the thought. It showed intentionality, thoughtfulness, and the kind of love I always wanted. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Our love grew quickly and naturally. What started as a simple connection turned into something deep, steady, and undeniable. We became best friends, partners, and each other’s safe place. We saw how God was shaping us individually and together, preparing our hearts for a covenant, not just a relationship. On August 31, 2025, Elgin turned 31 on his golden birthday. Instead of making the day all about himself, he planned a birthday dinner — and turned it into one of the most unforgettable nights of our lives by asking me to be his forever. It was such a selfless and beautiful moment, one that perfectly reflects his heart. That night was more than a proposal; it was a reminder of God’s faithfulness and perfect timing. He shared his special day with me, and that’s a memory we will cherish forever. That is why we chose August 30, 2026, for our wedding day — a reflection of the season where God confirmed our forever. We know that God brought us together. We know that marriage is a covenant before God, and we are committed to keeping Him at the center of our home. We pray that He continues to guide our steps, strengthen our love, and grow us together year after year. What God has joined together, we trust in Him to sustain. This is only the beginning of the beautiful story He is still writing. 🤍
