FAQs

Question

Why Boston?

Answer

We love the state of Massachusetts, especially Boston, so we wanted to have a special part of our lives here. We are excited to show you all the beauty of one of our favorite places!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please feel free to lodge wherever you feel comfortable, whether it is in Boston or somewhere nearby. See our Travel page for hotel block information if you are interested!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire encouraged. Boston evenings on the harbor can get breezy, especially in the fall, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap. There will be heat on the boat!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

20-30 minutes before the ceremony begins so everyone has time to settle before we say "I do."

Question

What happens between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

The wedding party will be taking pictures in the surrounding area but feel free to explore or relax!

Question

How should I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

You can use a rideshare service or drive your car to a parking lot nearby. We recommend using Spot Hero for prices and distance. The venues are less than a mile away, about a 15 minute walk, if you would like to bring a separate pair of shoes to stroll around Boston on your way over.

Question

Will the boat stay docked?

Answer

No -- once we set sail, we'll remain out on the harbor for the duration of the reception before returning to the dock at 9pm.

Question

What time does the boat depart?

Answer

The boat will depart promptly at 4pm. Please plan to arrive early. Once the boat leaves the dock, it cannot return for late arrivals.

Question

Will I get seasick?

Answer

The cruise will stay within the Boston Harbor and is typically very smooth, but motion sickness bands will be provided if needed.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes!!!
