The bride and groom will be staying at the resort Wednesday, May 26th to Tuesday, June 1st. You are welcome to stay as little or as long as you would like but please keep in mind the wedding celebration will take place on Friday, May 28th, 2027 and a three night minimum stay is required. — 🖤 — Los novios se hospedarán en el resort desde el miércoles 26 de mayo hasta el martes 1 de junio. Is there a dress code?

The dress code for all guests is semi-formal black attire. Please note that the wedding ceremony will take place on the beach, weather permitting. Additionally, the climate in this region during the month of May is warm and humid, so we suggest dressing accordingly. Recommended attire includes breathable fabrics—such as linen, seersucker, or fresco wool—as well as block heels or flats. What is the difference between standard level and premium level at the Barcelo Ixtapa Resort?

Answer

There are a few differences between standard and premium levels and choosing which one works best for your party will depend on how long you plan to stay and what you would like to have additional access to. The buffets are free for everyone and the specialty restaurants are considered free as well, but require reservations and standard guests get only 1 reservation slot per 3 night stay. Premium guests get to book multiple dinner reservations at check in for their entire stay. Also, premium comes with free room service, better views, free bottle of sparkling wine or tequila at arrival, and access to the premium lounge. There are 2 buffets serving breakfast and dinner and 1 serving lunch, not requiring reservations. There are 3 specialty restaurants serving dinner and requiring reservations. — 🖤 — Existen algunas diferencias entre los niveles estándar y premium; la elección de cuál se adapta mejor a su grupo dependerá de la duración prevista de su estancia y del acceso adicional que deseen tener. Is there a minimum night stay for the resort?

Yes, each guest is required to stay a minimum of three nights. To best fit the wedding schedule, this would be Thursday, May 27th, 2027 to Sunday, May 30th, 2027. The wedding ceremony and reception are a kids free event. However, the Barcelo Ixtapa resort is kids-friendly, so if you are wanting to bring your children, be prepared to have someone watch your children during the wedding ceremony and reception. Will there be speeches during the wedding?

There will not be any speeches during the wedding. In replacement of speeches, we would love our guests to write a letter for the bride, groom, or couple if they wish to do so. We do not have a specific registry and do not expect anything from our guests. However, if you are wanting to gift the bride and groom, a link is provided in the Registry tab to contribute to our future as a couple. What should I bring for my stay at Barcelo Ixtapa All-Inclusive resort?

The weather in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico will be hot, ranging from 88°F to 75°F, and very humid. Rain is common during May but usually takes the form of short, intense, late-afternoon or evening showers. It is advisable to bring: Swimwear, sun protection, casual lightweight summer attire, dressier evening attire for dinners or special events, sandals or flip flops, comfortable shoes, your wedding attire, personal items including toiletries and medications, a credit card with no international fees, and cash for tipping the resort staff. Pesos could be ordered ahead of the trip if desired for off resort activities, but pesos are not needed for in the resort. — 🖤 — El clima en Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, México, será caluroso, con temperaturas que oscilarán entre los 26 °C y los 31 °C, y muy húmedo.
