Oscar and Katelyn’s story began in 2018, when they met while studying abroad in Spain. Both were drawn to the beauty of the country and its rich culture, but little did they know they’d find something even more remarkable - each other. Despite coming from different parts of the world, they instantly connected and began a relationship that has flourished despite the miles between them. They’ve been in a long-distance relationship ever since, nurturing their bond through countless calls, visits, and shared memories. In June 2023, Katelyn and Oscar took a trip to Madrid, the city where their love story began in 2018. During their vacation, they revisited many of their favorite spots, reliving cherished memories from when they first met. One evening, Oscar suggested they go to “Sunset Hill,” their favorite date spot, known for its breathtaking views of the city and mountains at dusk. As the sky turned shades of orange and pink, Oscar surprised Katelyn by getting down on one knee and proposing. Overwhelmed with joy, she said yes, and the two celebrated the next chapter of their lives in the very place where their story first took root. In April 2024, Oscar and Katelyn decided to make things official and married in a quiet courthouse ceremony in Boston. Now, as they look forward to their future together, they are excited to celebrate their marriage with friends and family in August 2025.
