WE ARE SAYING "I DO!"

It was our Sophomore year of High School at Bishop Kelley, and the first day of Theology class. Jenna sat on the other side of the classroom, and Oscar sat in the back. The teacher announced for everyone to pull out their phones and log into Snapchat. He told us to go to the “Add Nearby” feature and add all of our fellow classmates in case we needed assistance throughout the class. Oscar snapchatted Jenna multiple times throughout the later days, to no response. Jenna eventually snapchatted back, off and on with Oscar and began to talk more and more frequently. On our first date, we went to the Promenade Regal Theatre across from our high school, and on our second date at the same place, Oscar asked Jenna to be his girlfriend. We gained mutual friends, and the rest is history!

When we started dating in 2017, Jenna was 15 and Oscar was 16. We couldn't be more thankful to be given the opportunity to go through some of life's biggest milestones together! We celebrated Sweet 16's and taught each other how to drive; turned 18, became adults and each bought our first cars; turned 20, and celebrated no longer being a teen and bought our first home together; & turned 21 and became legal! Life's full of ups and downs, but being able to do it all with a partner, is worth every single second, and we wouldn't trade it for the world. We are so excited to share this special day with you all!

Soon after we graduated with our Associate's degrees from Tulsa Community College, we began to tour homes around the Tulsa area to see what we liked and disliked in homes. After putting a few bids on other homes in the city, to no luck, we came across the home we are currently in, and fell in love! We actually did not win the bid the 1st time, and proceeded to keep on looking to see what He had in store for us. About a week later, Jenna got a call from their realtor early in the morning and was told, "Something fell through with the previous buyer and you all got the home!" We were ecstatic, nervous, excited, and everything in between! We closed on our home on October 29th, 2021, and got engaged 6 months later, on April 27th, 2022. Moving into our 1st home together has brought many new opportunities, and lots of memories! Every day is a new experience, but we love getting the chance to continue to wake up next to each other, and be blessed with a new day and seeing what He has in store for us!

It was our second trip to Colorado, we just bought a home a couple months ago, and we were celebrating dating for 5 years! Our trip was one to remember. We did lots of fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, visited the Great Sand Dunes, and got engaged! On April 27th, Oscar took Jenna out for anniversary pictures to celebrate their 5 years, and popped the question with the help of their photographer!
