They're Finally Getting Married

Oscar and I are so excited to get married we want to do it twice! Oscar as many of you know is from Honduras and he has many family members and friends that wouldn't be able to celebrate our special day with us, therefore we are having two ceremonies. Our U.S. Wedding will take place on July 2nd, 2022 at Hardy Farm in Freyberg, Maine! Our Honduran Wedding will take place on July 30th, 2022 at La Ensenada Beach and Resort in Tela, Honduras!

Through mutual friends Oscar and Ariana would end up hanging out a lot. Although Oscar was awestruck by the beautiful blonde, Ariana was oblivious of his feelings until the end of freshman year when she was stressing out about her Spanish oral exam. While having dinner she was ranting about her stress when their mutual friend pointed out that Oscar spoke Spanish. He offered to help her with pronunciation and to study. A friendship struck up and they started bumping into each other a lot more often than before. Near the end of the year they were having dinner with all of their friends when Oscar mentioned that he hadn't had an all nighter yet, a classic college kid experience. A few people agreed that it would be fun to pull an all nighter, seems how all they had left were final papers to hand in. That night they were getting ready to go into a study lounge when everyone backed out from this all nighter except for Oscar and Ariana. Oscar had a final paper that he had not started yet so he definitely had to stay up all night. Ariana, on the other hand, had finished all of her school work (over achiever). She still decided to keep him company and paint while he wrote. They stayed up all night in that lounge getting to know each other. Talking about their families, backgrounds, wants and dreams. Near morning they watched the most beautiful sunrise. Later that week they both realized they had feelings for each other and decided that they should start dating. It was almost summer break however, and they would be in completely different countries for the next three months. They decided to get to know each other over the summer and if after their return, they still wanted to pursue a relationship, they would.

May 2nd 2020 was their 5 year anniversary. Usually for an anniversary date they would go out to a fancy restaurant, splurge on a bit of food, wine, and dessert. Unfortunately during this time everyone was still in quarantine due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Instead, they decided that Oscar would make a surprise dinner while Ariana made a surprise dessert. When dinner was ready Oscar gave Ariana a beautiful sweater dress to put on with a blue necklace. Oscar lead her, eyes closed, into their kitchen. After opening her eyes, Ariana looked up to see Oscar dressed in a grey suit with a dashing red bow-tie. He began to set the table with a white table cloth and a candle stuck into a wine bottle then a mountain of spaghetti and meatballs on a plate. Only then did Ariana realize they were recreating the scene from her favorite Disney movie, Lady and the Tramp. Ariana thought this was the perfect anniversary present since they were bounding as Lady and Tramp, with Bella Notte in the background. Even though he hates doing photo shoots, Oscar had set up this perfect scene for Ariana. Then just as he was about to sit down to eat he got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring. He said the famous words, and of course, she said yes...
