It’s finally happening! (Enjoy the bloopers…)

Meeting during Covid was interesting to say the least… Between Zoom dates and eating “outside” in Chicago during the middle of winter- interesting was one word to describe it. We quickly decided we’d add each other to our covid approved bubbles and began spending most of our time together. Based on a solid foundation for a love of really good red wines- we had a lot to discuss. But as they say- when you know, you know. We truly agree- covid relationships are similar to dog years. We spent nights together cooking, eating and obviously drinking a good red wine. Don’t worry- Abbott was there every step of the way. If you don’t know- Abbott was the most perfect Olde English Bulldogge who ruled our lives. When Abbott accepted him within a matter of minutes- it was game over. One thing led to another and we’re here today, inviting you to our wedding. The motto to our lives and now wedding, is ‘you do you’ - do what makes you happy. We’re beyond thrilled to start this next step together and cannot wait to celebrate with a nice glass of vino. Mazal tov!

If you know Daniel, then you know he’s not great with surprises or secrets. We started premlinary ring shopping and decided on designing something of our own. With a couple months for creation, we had some time to breathe. We ventured on our birthday trip to Sonoma to relax. ("late" Leo and "early" Virgo = domestic harmony 🙌🏻) Within minutes of arriving to our villa, Daniel asked if she wanted her birthday present then. Of course she said yes, it didn’t matter it was a day early. A beautiful wallet was given, but set aside before going through every compartment. (She’s awkward when it comes to gifts.) After a gentle suggestion to look inside, she found a note: “I have one more question for you.” Dying for it to be ‘the question’ but too scared to assume, she just stared at him. He stared back before mumbling something about wanting to spend every birthday together from here on out and the crying began. After a couple minutes, he asked if she actually said yes. She replied by asking “did you actually ask?” With no ring in hand, ‘you need something to close the deal.’ With advice from a phenomenal friend and much needed help from a sister, Daniel stole the script from Sex and the City. Who doesn’t make life altering decisions based on this show?! 😉 They may not have been royal blue Manolo Blahnik Hangisi heels, but a Gucci sneaker just fit this couple better. And the rest is history….
