Parogio and Osama were introduced on a Sunday evening through a group text. Parogio sent Osama a separate text on the side, and their love story began. That first night, they talked for a little while, and surprisingly, the call turned into a FaceTime call. Initially, they both were hesitant because they had no intentions of dating long distance. However, their initial 5-hour FaceTime call turned into nightly FaceTime calls that would sometimes be over 7 hours long. This was something Osama said she would never do, as she had vowed she would never FaceTime someone she wasn’t 100% sure about. Something about this man seemed different, and the more she talked to him, the more she was intrigued. Something also felt different for Parogio. They both began to feel like they had known each other their whole lives. Shortly afterwards, they took a leap of faith and Osama took the trip of a lifetime to Texas to meet the man who would later be the love of her life. After a short period of getting to know one another and following the leading of the Lord, Parogio asked Osama to be his girlfriend. This was significant for Osama who promised God at 18 years old that she wouldn’t date until the Lord said that the man was for her. She had no idea that such a huge blessing would follow the years of waiting, praying, letdowns, and more. Parogio says he knew Osama was the one about three weeks into talking to her. The Lord revealed it to him in a dream one night. Shortly after, he took the trip to meet her family and also introduced her to his family. Osama and Parogio traveled back and forth between Texas and California to spend time with one another until January 2025, when Parogio got down on one knee and asked Osama to marry him and spend their lives together. Of course, she said yes, and they are now preparing for a lifetime of purpose, joy, and peace. Their journey has been full of ups and downs, but their love for each other has helped them survive. We’re excited to see all the good things God has in store for them.
