We are getting married at The Farm at Stillwater Spring in Sharpsburg, MD. There are photographs of Abraham Lincoln visiting the property after the battle of Antietam. The reception will be held in an open barn, while the ceremony and cocktail hour will be a four minute walk away in a beautiful shaded grove area with the perfect pavilion and lawn area for us to play some games together. Please be mindful that our venue is an active farm, and to be respectful of the chickens, cows, and pigs that live there.
Our wedding is a lot more laid back than most. Expect to wear business casual (polo or short sleeved button up shirts, sundresses, etc). If you choose to wear heels, I recommend wedges as we will definitely be walking in the grass. The groom will not be wearing a tie, so don't feel obligated to wear one yourself!
Yes, our venue is very kid friendly!
Due to COVID-19 and the size of our venue, fewer guests will be offered a plus one. Sorry! Double check your invitation to make sure.
Parking will be in the grass near the wedding barn. If it rains, be prepared to get your car a little muddy while parking.
Our ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, and guests must walk slightly uphill to reach the area. The venue is providing a Gator and driver that will assist any guest who is not able to make the 4 minute walk from the wedding barn (parking & reception area) to the ceremony area.
Yes, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions while RSVP'ing! Our hope is to have an outdoor BBQ, but we recognize that the typical barbecue meal does not take into account certain dietary restrictions. Please advocate for yourself and tell us your dietary restriction, from vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten intolerant/celiacs, to "I don't like spicy foods!"
