We met at church in 2021, and from the moment Grace met Jared, she thought he was so cute. For a while, it was just a quiet crush from afar. A few months later, Grace’s family was moving out of their childhood home, and her brother asked Jared to help them move. Grace was so nervous knowing he was going to be there. After they finished moving, Grace decided to be bold and messaged him on Instagram to thank him for helping, secretly hoping it would get the conversation going. His response? A very simple: “No problem.” And just like that… nothing came from it. As time went on, they became friends, and Grace may or may not have tried to win him over by baking him sourdough bread. She thought she was being obvious… he thought she was just being friendly and really loved making bread. Looking back, they like to joke that sourdough is really the reason they’re together; it was clearly the first sign of true love. Even after all her subtle hints (and homemade bread), nothing happened, and Grace eventually gave up on the idea of them being anything more than friends. Then, in July of last year, everything changed. Jared started showing interest, and in November, he finally asked her on their first date. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, and the rest is history.
