While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event unless otherwise stated on your invitation due to limited capacity. A few select family members may be the exception. Children are allowed on the property though! So we've had some people talk about bringing their family and having them stay in the cabins on site with another family member or a group babysitter. Let us know if we can help you figure out a service to hire or assist in any way! For questions or extenuating circumstances, please contact us.
Everyone is different when it comes to elevation but since Estes Park is located over 7,500 feet, there is a good chance you'll feel it. We recommend coming to Denver (or Estes) a day or two early to acclimate. You'll most likely only feel it when exerting energy hiking, walking, or dancing. Here are a few more tips: * Come early to acclimate * Drink LOTS of water! More than you think you need! * Have a mini oxygen tank ready (they sell these everywhere in Colorado) * Ease up on the alcohol! You'll feel the effects twice as quickly at elevation so pace yourself! * Sit down and rest when you feel the effects (out of breath, headache, nausea) * Did we mention water?
Not really? We want you to be comfortable. This is a semi-formal event but it's also going to be more mountain chic! Whatever makes you happy, makes us happy!
We're not the best at predicting weather, so we definitely think you should come prepared (could be 90 degrees, could have snow?). We recommend checking the weather closer to the date. BUT, Colorado is the 3rd sunniest state in the US and we typically don't see snow until November so most likely it will be warm during the day and cool at night. The average temperatures are a low around 48 and a high around 76 degrees. Also, BRING SUNSCREEN! We're closer to the sun here and you can burn super easy!
The ceremony will take place outside on the roof of the venue and the reception will be indoors downstairs.
Unfortunately we don't have a hotel block but we HIGHLY recommend booking lodging at our venue so that you don't have to drive anywhere at the end of the hight. Condo's can be booked from 2 bedroom to huge multi-family luxury size. We recommend booking asap! The link is on the "Travel" page.
Estes Park is a small town and the most popular wedding site in Colorado. So a Saturday night in August makes it VERY difficult to rely on Uber or Lyft. While everything downtown is walking distance, our venue is a few miles away so we recommend staying on site to eliminate driving.
