We met in middle school when we had a class together. We remained friends through the years. Had another class together in high school which resulted to us seeing each other more. Started to make efforts to hangout more outside of school and ended up at Bliss Dairy for ice cream as our first date! We started dating officially after that- our sophomore year in high school on May 6, 2012.

We go camping often during the summer and this summer was no different. We decided to check out a new location- Tully Lake Campground. It was a beautiful site right on the lake! We spent the day paddling around the lake fishing and going swimming. We stopped at a small sandy island in the middle of the lake. This is where Jarred started moving rocks around and formed a heart shape of rocks in the sand. He then suggested we paddle back to the island at sunset to have a fire here in which I agreed, as we always have fires at night. I didn't know it at the time but agreeing to a fire that night turned into me saying "Yes!" when he proposed at sunset in the middle of the sand, with the reflection of the fire shining off the lake. It was beautiful and perfect!
