Chad and Kate met in the most unlikely of places- Las Vegas! Both on separate vacations, they ran into each other at a pool party. They were having lots of fun together, but didn't think much would come of it. That is, until they learned that they both lived in Phoenix! After returning to Arizona and going on their first real date, they both got the feeling that it could be something more.

Chad completely surprised Kate with a proposal about a year after they met. Acting like they were going to dinner, Chad led Kate along the Scottsdale waterfront until they reached the fountain. There, Chad bent down on one knee to ask Kate to marry him. Kate was so surprised that she didn't realize what was happening until a photographer popped out of the bushes! After that, Chad revealed that both of their families and all of their friends were there to celebrate with them.
