The Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze is an art museum best known as the home of Michelangelo's sculpture David. There are also many other sculptures by Michelangelo and a large collection of paintings by Florentine artists, mostly from the period 1300–1600. It is recommended you book tickets online in advance to avoid waiting in long lines!
The Uffizi Gallery is one of the most famous art museums in the world that includes work from Italian artists such as Botticelli, Giotto, Cimabue, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello, just to name a few of the most famous. Its large collection has works from all centuries but a large part dates back to the periods between the 12th and 17th centuries. It's recommended you book tickets in advance to avoid long lines.

Do some shopping at the Ponte Vecchio bridge and San Lorenzo Market! There are 48 shops across the bridge (mainly jewelers and accessories) and San Lorenzo has a large Leather market among other local Tuscan goods. Don't be afraid to bargain!
