We met in 2015 in high school in South Carolina, where we both were students at a golf academy. Jason saw Stephanie first while watching the golf tournament she was playing in. When Jason watched Stephanie score a 10 on a par 3 (for any non-golfers, that is really, really bad) he was miraculously charmed and proclaimed to his friend that he would date Stephanie. We officially met a few days later at a different golf course after Jason convinced Stephanie's coach to let him play nine holes with her. Exactly one year later, we did start dating, at that same golf course! As you can see, golf courses are a foundational part of our relationship... which is why we chose to get married at one! We dated for the next two years in high school before facing four years of a long-distance relationship when Jason was accepted to the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) and Stephanie to Queen's University in Ontario. In our last week of high school, just before parting ways, Jason took Stephanie to a beachfront swing in South Carolina and promised her that after the daunting four years ahead, he would bring her back to the very same spot to prove that our love could withstand any distance. Of course, we did make it through those four years by relying on that strength of love... and FaceTime and American Airlines. After graduating, we moved to Boston together to complete our Masters' Degrees. But, it didn't take long for Jason to bring Stephanie back to that same beachfront swing on Hilton Head as he promised he would. Only this time, he proposed! It all happened under a gorgeous South Carolina sunset, with a pair of dolphins jumping from the water as Jason took a knee. Since our engagement, we have moved from Boston to Dallas to pursue fantastic career opportunities for both of us - Jason, in sales, and Stephanie, in writing and literature. So, we are getting married in our new home city of Dallas, which we can't wait to share with everyone traveling from out of town. We are so excited to celebrate our love with you at Stonebriar Country Club in September, on what will be our 11 year anniversary!
