Our story began in the fall of 2019 as a blind date for a college date dash. At the time, Talia’s roommate was attending the event with one of my friends, and they decided to play matchmaker. I reached out to Talia and asked her to “Do me the honor of being my date.” (She has never let me live that one down.) After a few days of ignoring me, she decided to say yes. What started as a fun night quickly turned into two strangers becoming best friends. We enjoyed our senior year together at Cal State Fullerton and graduated in 2020 despite facing COVID. After graduation, I moved to Irvine to be with Talia, and with a few headaches along the way, we continued to grow together, learning and evolving as a couple. Despite coming from different worlds, the challenges we faced only made us stronger. After 3 ½ years, I knew without a doubt that Talia was the one. Our families had grown closer, and with her parent’s blessing, I planned to pop the question on our big trip to Italy. With the Florence Duomo in the background, I asked Talia to “Do me the honor of being my wife.” That unforgettable moment sealed a love that was always meant to be, and from there, our beautiful story continues to unfold.
